WHO CAN ENTER SLOVENIA WITH THIS DOCUMENT?
Slovenia is open to fully vaccinated travelers as well as those residing in the Schengen area and travelers who live in countries on the safe list. Travelers arriving from South Africa, Botswana, Eswatini, Lesotho, Namibia, Zimbabwe and Mozambique are not allowed to enter Slovenia at the moment. All eligible travelers must apply for the Slovenia Entry Registration regardless of the reason for their trip.

If your country requires a visa, the immigration officers will ask for your Visa when you enter Slovenia. Keep in mind some nationalities will require a paper visa. No, you don't. As of today, COVID vaccination certificates are not mandatory to enter Slovenia. Now if you are a Covid vaccine certificate holder, you won't need to present a negative PCR test nor to follow a quarantine unless you're returning from South Africa, Botswana, Eswatini, Lesotho, Namibia, Zimbabwe or Mozambique.

Approved vaccines are Pfizer, Moderna, Vaxzevria, Jansen, Sinopharm, Sinovac Biotech, Sputnik V.

You are fully vaccinated if:

  • 7 days have passed since your second dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine,
  • 14 days have passed since your second dose of Moderna, Sinovac, Sinopharm, Sputnik V, Johnson and Johnson,
  • 21 days have passed since your first dose of the AstraZeneca.
A negative PCR or antigen COVID-19 test result is one of the requirements to enter Slovenia. Travelers must bring one of the following:
  • a negative PCR test result taken no more than 72 hours before departure
  • a negative rapid antigen test result taken no more than 48 hours before departure
  • a certificate of vaccination against COVID-19

It depends on your individual circumstances. Travelers with one of the following documents, will not need to quarantine in Slovenia:

  • a negative PCR test result taken no more than 72 hours before departure
  • a negative rapid antigen test result taken no more than 48 hours before departure
  • a certificate of vaccination against COVID-19
  • a certificate of a positive PCR test result that is older than 10 days, but not older than six months.

Travelers unable to produce one of these documents must quarantine for 10 days as soon as they enter the country. The quarantine can be cut short with a negative COVID-19 test result.

All travelers arriving from South Africa, Botswana, Eswatini, Lesotho, Namibia, Zimbabwe and Mozambique must quarantine for 10 days.
